Step 1: Makeup Removal
Ever heard of Double Cleansing aka 424 Method? This method consists of: 4 mintues of massaging cleansing oil all over the face, 2 minutes of celansing with a foam cleanser, and then 4 minutes of rinsing with lukewarm water.
Before double cleansing, prep your skin by using a nutrient-rich makeup remover towelette to remove makeup and dirt. Next, use a gentle oil cleanser and lukewarm water to rid sebum and bacteria, without drying out your skin.
Step 2: Cleanse
Use a mild cream or foaming cleanser in soft circular motions to clean up the residue from the first step.
Step 3: Exfoliate
Remove dead skin cells by using a natural scrub or exofliator to soften your skin. Twice a month is recommended and if you want to exfoliate during the week, concentrated on the t-zone or where blackheads are prominent.
Step 4: Toner
Toners help prepare your skin to absorb essence. Use alcohol-free toners that contains many nutrients for your skin. Toners help cleans, hydrate, clarify, and restore your skin’s pH balance, It’s important to use a cotton pad and wipe the toner across your face and neck.
Step 5: Essence
One of the essential part of the Korean skincare regimen to target specific skin concerns for a youthful, radiant skin. Essence/serum is not just used for fighting wrinkles, but to nourishes skin, to enhance cellular renewal process, elasticity and firmness, and a brighter complexion.
Step 6: Ampoul/Serum
Ampoules are concentrated, nutrient rich version of essence that focus on repairing fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, and uneven skin tone.
Step 7: Sheet Mask
There are numerous amounts of sheet masks available that concentrate on your specific needs. Sheet masks are paper masks that is soaked in ampoul or serum, placed onto your face to absorb the nutrients and moisturize your skin.
