Q: When you said you use lower SPF for sensitive skin. How low is SPF can I get? I saw Shiseido has sunscreen lotion/body such as high as SPF 55. Is SPF 33 too high for sensitive skin ppl. like me? If I choose to use the Skincare line --do I need to use Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer N ? Is Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer N cream is for both day and night? but for special care? How about Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer N Cream *Whitening Formula and Whitness? what's the difference?
Asked by: Anonymous - 2004-08-17
A: SPF 33 is ok but there is also SPF 18 to so you can choose between that. Bio line is a Special Care and you can use it day and night. And Shiseido Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer Cream *Whitening Formula* is for whitening and Shiseido Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer N. is just a regular Cream. The Whitess is also for whitening Essence type. So if you want to have lighter skin then you can use both Whitess and Shiseido Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer Cream *Whitening Formula* for better result. Also you have to use a Toner and Emulsion along with those to items in these steps: Any Toner (Benefiance or The Skincare line), Essence (Whitess and Shiseido Bio-Performance Intensive Clarigying Essence), Any line Emulsion (if you have dry skin you can use Benefiance Daytime Protective Cream SPF 8), then any Cream (for night)*day use is ok to if you desire and have dry skin.

Q: I have a very dry and sensitive skin and that's why I been using Beneifiance for a few years now since I was 27yrs. but recently I was told by one of Shiseido consultant that I shouldn't have used Beneifiance. I should be using "THE SKINCARE" line b/c of my age. Should I switch to "THE SKINCARE" line now? I also use other special care line such as Bio-Performance Advanced Clarify Intensive Essence, Whitess Skin Brightener. The reason I am using Whitess b/c i have freckles. I also was suggested and recommended taht I should only use the same skincare line not mixing other line such as using some Benefiance and some THE SKINCARE. Is taht mean if i using Bio Perforamnce product I should be using all Bio Performance such as Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer N and Cream *Whitening Formula* and whiteness and not THe SKINCARE or BEnefiance. How do u really know when u should be using "THE SKINCARE" or Benefiance or Special care such as Bio-performance? Espeically I am having freckle. Also, I know taht Shiseido carry sunscreen product. Which one should I be getting since I have a sensitive skins. Do i need to use sunscreen lotion protection even though most of Shiseido face lotion( The Skincare/Benefiance Day time emulsion or cream) alraedy contains with SPF 8, 10, 15, etc...
Asked by: Anonymous - 2004-08-16
A: It's ok to switch to THE SKINCARE (basic skincare) line or the UV White line (ok for sensitive skin also) now and better if you use Bio lines with it. Bio lines are not basic skincare lines they are rather Special Care lines so you can use Bio lines with any other basic skincare lines. It's also better if you use daytime emulsion and night seperately even if you apply sun protection during the day. If you want to get a sun protection then try getting a low SPF. Lower SPF is ok for sensitive skin and the best thing for sun protection is trying to stay out of the sun.

Q: So....cleanse, balance (toner), then "emulsion", what about moisturizing? Does the daytime emulsion take the place of moisturizing, or do you moisturize AFTER emulsion?
Asked by: Anonymous - 2004-06-01
A: If you have a dry skin then you would put Daytime Moisturizer (Cream type) but if you have oily or combination skin then you would use the Emulsion (Lotion type). If you want to use both then thats fine for very very dry skin, then you would apply the Emulsion first then the Moisturizer since the Emulsion is lighter texture than the Moisturizer. Some people say that the Moisturizer is Emulsion. But a Moisturizer is both because both Emulsion and Cream type moisturize.
