Q: I am a diabetic and am experiencing changes in my skin. I have plucked my eye brows for a long time and sometimes I tend to pick at my face. Facial soars are taking longer to heal. I have added altace to my insolin and my soars are looking better but still need work to cover them up. They look brown when healing and then stay red after the scab is gone. When I work hard my face becomes flushed and they turn even reder. It is hot in this area and I sweat alot so make up and even some bandages are hard to keep on. When they are healing the scab is rough. I have tried cover up makeup but the scabs stand out more. I have resorted to taking a bandage and cutting it to fit the soar. This works out good but I have had a hard time finding a band aid that doesn't shin or stand out. It would be nice if their were band aids for the face that would blend in with the skin, stay attached and help heal by having a sauve to promote healing. Most bandages are light brown but the cotton on them are white and stand out. I want to cover up my skin and let it heal faster. I hope that when I get my diabetes under controll my skin problems will return to normal. It stresses me to know that a simple scratch or squeeze will stand out for days to weeks. Please help me cover up and heal.

A: If you have skin trouble where scares are taking over then hiding them won't help heal them or make it any better. What I recommend is to have skin~care. In order for you to get rid of your skin scares you need to treat them and then go on to the next step which is cover. Your skin needs medication and needs to breathe, by covering them up all your doing is making it worse. Cleansing and Skincare should be number one then covering. It's easy to cover little scares then to cover big scares, with big scares it will show more and on top of that your in an area where it is hot and that will probably melt away the concealers or any other cover makeup. It does take time to heal your problems but once it is cleared up then you won't have to worry about covering them as much. But if you are looking for some instant solutions then I recommend you use the Pureness Matifying stick then the concealers. It will help to cover longer with better results. And if your skin is oily then I recommend you use products that are for oily skin. And remember cleansing is very important.
